About Me

My photo
Jan
I am a wife and mother of three children living in Appin, Australia. I have always loved to be creative and for me, pottery gives me the balance I need in my life. I particularly love the endless possibilities of creating objects in clay. There are so many differant things to explore with respect to clay, glaze and the firing process itself, that my mind and imagination are constantly challenged. Each time I explore a new idea, it leads to me to another pathway and it is that process that keeps me wanting to learn more. I also love to share ideas with like minded people and those who have never made anything from clay before. I look at the little creations that my children have made over the years and they make me smile. One of the special things about pottery is that when something is made from clay, it holds and tells something about it's maker forever.
